Intro to fine art is a 5 week course introducing students to the basics of aesthetics, 2d and 3d design, art theory and history through sculpture, drawing, and painting. Sessions will be split between lecture/discussion and studio time or working on projects.
Students will be taught to interpret and produce work within different conceptual frameworks as well as having a broad foundation for thinking critically about the art-making process, particularly from a Caribbean perspective.
This course is a good general introduction for anyone wanting to step into the art world and also helpful to more experienced artists who want to explore different studio practices and concepts.
